Portuguese fashion designer Miguel Castro Freitas has been announced as Creative Director of Paris fashion house Mugler, succeeding Casey Cadwallade from April 1.

A spokesperson from L’Oréal, parent company of Mugler, commented 'Miguel lives and breathes the Mugler spirit. His deep understanding of Mugler’s DNA and his vast creativity and talent made him a natural choice'. Freitas has previously worked at brands including Dior, Saint Laurent, Lanvin and Dries Van Noten.
