The Ministry of Time, London based Anglo-Cambodian writer Kaliane Bradley’s debut book, has been praised as 'already the best new book I will have read next year' by Booker Prize winning author Eleanor Catton.
Published in May 2024, The Ministry of Time is Bradley's first full novel, although she’s won both the Harper’s Bazaar and the V S Pritchett Short Story prizes in 2022. Set in the near future, the book explores the relationship between a civil servant and a Victorian explorer, following his expatriation to the 2020s as part of a mysterious new government scheme.
