Ashley Elston, a US based author, is set to make a splash with her debut adult novel First Lie Wins, published in January 2024.

Described as a 'twisty cat-and-mouse thriller' by The Hollywood Reporter, First Lie Wins has been optioned for a TV series on Hulu by Hidden Figures actor Octavia Spencer and Grey's Anatomy showrunner Krista Vernoff, with casting to be announced imminently. Elston's novel has also been recommended by The American Booksellers Associations' as January 2024's Indie Next Pick.
