British comedian Dane Baptiste has been announced as an ambassador for The Big Issue, following in the footsteps of fellow ambassadors George Clarke, Daniel Mays, and David Lammy.

Baptiste commented 'I really want to help people who feel they may be close to or experiencing sleeping rough or homelessness to know they’re not alone. There is a stigma attached to homelessness. But we’re not dealing with some kind of underclass of people that have made successive bad decisions in their life. These are people that have been affected by economic policies that are out of their control'.
