The RCA launches the Virgil Abloh Scholarship

08 11 2022

The Royal College of Art (RCA) has announced the launch of the Virgil Abloh Scholarship, building on the late designer's legacy of supporting Black creatives.

The scholarship will cover full tuition fees and maintenance support for a talented yet financially restricted Black British student enrolled on any of the RCA’s School of Design programmes, and the selected student will also work closely with British fashion designer Samuel Ross, gaining industry experience and networking opportunities. Sir Jony Ive, chancellor at the RCA, commented ‘Abloh’s creativity and generosity will continue to have an impact at the RCA through this remarkable scholarship. I continue to be inspired by Virgil and believe that his curiosity and entrepreneurialism will live on, inspiring generations of innovators to come’.
