Shaun Farrugia, who released his debut single I Don’t Wanna Fall Asleep Yet, co-written with Sam Klempner, in July 2022, bagged the number one spot on the Shazam Discovery Charts with his cover of The Weeknd’s Blinding Lights, after it was featured on Love Island.
Inspired by artists including Coldplay and James Morrison, the 26 year old Maltese singer/songwriter describes his music as an 'ocean of voices'. Farrugia quit his job and moved to London in 2019, on the back of an invitation from Sigala, and was eventually signed by Polydor. The rising star's also written songs for Mimi Webb and The Script, collaborated with DJ Martin Garrix, and performed live at MTV’s Isle of MTV in Malta earlier this year.
