Nandi Bushell, a 12 year old drummer, has become a recognisable name over the past two years, sharing videos of herself covering classic rock anthems which caught the attention of Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl.

The British-Zulu musician subsequently collaborated with Grohl on a series of virtual performances, before joining the Foo Fighters on stage in Los Angeles last August. Bushell claimed performing with the band was ‘the best night of [her] entire life’, with Grohl saying watching her play drums was ‘the true meaning of rock’n’roll’. As she celebrated the start of 2022, Bushell shared a New Year message on Instagram, claiming she wants to jam with Billie Eilish and ‘one day be Prime Minister of Great Britain’.
