BBC Radio 6 presenter Shaun Keaveny is set to join Absolute Radio as narrator of its first ever scripted comedy series, Rockanory.
Split into five minute episodes, the show will tell a different absurd yet legendary rock & roll story each week, with titles including Status Quo and the Kangaroo and Taking Libertines. 'It is a hilarious pleasure to be part of Rockanory', Keaveny commented, with the station's producer Paul Sylvester adding 'Absolute Radio has built its reputation as the home of comedy on commercial radio and this expansion into scripted comedy is something we’ve always wanted to do'. Supported by the Audio Content Fund and broadcast Monday to Thursday with an omnibus on Friday, Rockanory launches on Monday September 6.
