Bimini Bon-Boulash, Tayce, Lawrence Chaney, and Jodie Harsh have been announced as hosts for the first-ever BBC Radio 1 Drag Day, taking place August 21.

The drag artists will each host their own shows and be accompanied by BBC Radio 1 DJs Arielle Free, Clara Amfo, Dean McCullough, and Charlie Hedges, and the day will include ‘special mixes and surprise guests to showcase the very best of the UK drag scene’. Bon-Boulash commented ‘I used to listen to Radio 1 every day when I was a teenager. I would be listening to Grimmy and Fearne and saying to myself one day I would be hosting a show! Absolute dream come true and I can’t wait to get in that studio and have a laugh with Dean! You’re gonna have to drag me out of there!'.
