Phyll Opoku-Gyimah and Riyadh Khalaf front Proud Nation campaign

28 06 2021

Phyll Opoku-Gyimah and Riyadh Khalaf co-star in the Proud Nation campaign with personalities including Kyle De'Volle, Nathaniel Curtis, Roxxxan, and Bimini Bon-Boulash, 'seeking to tackle the lack of diversity in advertising by showcasing the breadth of the LGBTQ+ community in 2021'.

The new portraiture series, shot by Jordan Rossi, captures the 'trailblazers of the past but also reflects the community today', and is supported by RANKIN and charities Stonewall and Models of Diversity, to coincide with the anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising and the start of the Gay Liberation Movement. British photographer and director Rossi commented 'I’ve always strived to make work I wish I had seen when I was younger and this is exactly that. Representation in advertising is extremely narrow. Even in 2021. I wanted to create a snapshot of the community to reflect how it stands today. It’s been an honour to work with and photograph so many inspiring and thought-provoking individuals'.
