Shane Codd, 24, an up-and-coming Irish DJ and producer, shared his debut single, Get Out My Head, on SoundCloud last year as a response to the 'suffocating' coronavirus pandemic.
The track quickly became a viral sensation and has since amassed over six million streams, catching the interest of Polydor Records and leading to a record deal with the UK label in September. The Dublin born artist then spent more than eight weeks in the UK Official Chart's Top 40, reaching number six at the beginning of January. Codd, whose first big break in music came when he was announced as a finalist at the 2018 Breakout Producer competition held by fellow Irish DJ Mark McCabe, has remixed tracks for artists including Becky Hill, performed in cities and towns across his native Ireland, with plans to tour worldwide in the near future.
