Munya Chawawa, known by aliases including Unknown P, utilised the coronavirus lockdown in 2020 to create comedy sketches and characters from his home, achieving viral success on social media.

Johnny Oliver (Jamie Oliver’s fictional Jamaican cousin) is another of the comedian and presenter’s characters, but it’s Unknown P (a parody of drill rapper Unknown T) who’s brought Chawawa into the spotlight, leading to a record deal with Atlantic Records. Rounding off a successful year, the Zimbabwe-born rising star was also nominated for a MOBO Award for Best Media Personality, alongside Maya Jama, Clara Amfo, Mo Gilligan, Chunkz and KSI. In response to the nomination, Chawawa tweeted ‘What an honour to be nominated alongside the best in the game’.
