Adam Beales, 20, was better known as YouTuber Adam B until September, when he was announced as the new presenter of Blue Peter, the 40th in the show’s long history.

Although he has also presented on CBBC show The Dog Ate My Homework, Beales is mainly recognised for his huge social media following, amassed largely through videos of him pranking his family members in his hometown of Derry, Northern Ireland. The young star is set to continue creating online comedy content while also building a career in TV presenting, and has expressed his excitement at the ‘surreal’ opportunity to co-host the iconic children’s show, which he grew up watching.
