Kimberley Datnow, a London based writer, comedian and producer, and her sister, writer and filmmaker Amy Datnow, have been making waves since co-founding the UK's first female driven production company aimed specifically at millennial audiences, Clean Slate Productions.
Their first feature film, Daddy Issues, inspired by the sudden death of their father, debuted to much acclaim at various international film festivals, including winning Best Feature at The Valley Film Festival, Best Lead Actress at Mallorca International Film Festival, and making the official selection at the Miami Film Festival and Nice International Filmmaker Festival. The film, released on Amazon and iTunes in August, has been praised for ‘finding humour in the darkest places’, something the pair aimed to achieve while also showcasing ‘flawed, three-dimensional female leads’.
