Jemma Moore, a London based actress, plays one of the main characters in Shudder’s new horror film, Host, which centres around a Zoom call gone awry and has been hailed by critics as ‘the best horror movie of 2020’.
Filmed entirely remotely during the Covid-19 pandemic, Host has gained viral fame for its timely themes, with critics praising Moore and her co-stars for ‘capturing the mood of lockdown’. The British actress has also had minor roles in other features, playing a guard in 2017’s Wonder Woman and Private Li Chen in the 2019 Doom reboot, and was the winner of the ABC Discovers UK Digital Talent competition in 2017. She’s also started her own podcast this year, The Hobbycast, in which she interviews various ‘hobby connoisseurs’ about their chosen pastime.
