Royal Mail is celebrating the career of legendary rock band Queen, releasing a set of 13 postage stamps, using their album covers and archived images of live performances, on July 9.
The band follows in the footsteps of fellow musicians Pink Floyd, David Bowie, and Sir Elton John, all of whom have previously appeared on British postage stamps, and drummer Roger Taylor said 'Wow... stamps featuring our albums! What an honour. We must be really part of the furniture now! Thanks Royal Mail for stamping on us!'.
