Vogue's former Deputy Editor Emily Sheffield has been appointed Editor of the London Evening Standard, succeeding George Osborne, who's stepped down after three years in the role.

Sheffield, who joins the publication from July 1, announced the news on social media, posting 'Very proud to be the announced as the new Editor of the Evening Standard. It has been a core part of my daily life since I moved to London aged 18'.
