Dr Dr Ranj Singh has launched the BFI's See Yourself on Screen Challenge, calling on UK children aged 4-18 to create their own mini-TV show during lockdown.
The challenge, led by the BFI through the publicly-funded Young Audiences Content Fund (YACF), will see winning entrants receive a digital masterclass with an experienced figure from the TV industry, helping bring their idea to life, before the two minute show is aired by one of the partner Public Service Broadcasters, including Channel 5’s Milkshake!, CITV, E4, S4C, and TG4, later this year. The British doctor and TV personality said 'We know that screen time, if used creatively and considerately, can be a huge asset in helping children and young people explore and learn about the world around them... I’m so excited to host this challenge and I cannot wait to see what ideas are sent in'.
