Santi, an up and coming Nigerian rapper/singer, is bringing his country’s alté scene to the mainstream, through music and aesthetics which celebrate individuality and freedom of expression.

Raised on the sounds of the 90s and 00s, the Lagosian fuses nostalgic Western musical influences with his Nigerian roots, including the Nollywood cult horror films which filled his childhood. Last year, Santi released his genre-defying debut album, Mandy & The Jungle, which featured appearances from GoldLink, Kida Kudz and DRAM, and was described by Fader as ‘a lush and engaging coast through a uniquely Lagos sound’. This year, the 27 year old is set to play Lovebox, and will also join the line-up at Reading and Leeds festival.
