CJ Beckford, a British actor who appeared in ITV’s Victoria, has recently been cast in the BBC’s anticipated Windrush drama, Sitting in Limbo.
The up and comer landed the role after starring in the National Theatre’s take on Andrea Levy’s tribute novel to the Windrush generation, Small Island, earlier this year, where he played Jamaican RAF pilot Michael, and won rave reviews from The Guardian and The Evening Standard. Beckford will star opposite Casualty’s Patrick Robinson and Save Me’s Nadine Marshall in what is expected to be his breakout role, which begins filming this month.
