Rose Glass, a British filmmaker and National Film & Television School graduate, collected the 2019 IWC Schaffhausen Filmmaker Bursary Award in October for her acclaimed horror Saint Maud.
The director's debut feature film, starring Jennifer Ehle and Welsh actress Morfydd Clark, tells the story of a devout young nurse who becomes dangerously obsessed with saving the soul of her dying patient. The project screened in competition at the 63rd London Film Festival and Danny Boyle, who chaired this year's IWC bursary panel for budding filmmakers, described Glass as 'an extraordinary talent and powerful storyteller'.
