Vlad Yashin, a 20 year old Russian painter, illustrator and artist, has created an impressive portfolio of work on Instagram, subsequently gaining over half a million followers.

He first began sharing his work, which focuses entirely around celebrities including Billie Eilish, Timothée Chalamet, Zayn Malik and Finn Wolfhard, as well as prominent YouTubers James Charles, Shane Dawson, Jeffree Star and The Dolan Twins, in 2015. The self-taught artist’s work, often mixes hyperrealism and surrealism, including the use of invisible ink and glow in the dark, and has crossed over into the mainstream via Instagram, leading to him gaining sponsorship from professional art supplier Prisma Colour.
