River Cottage presenter Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall has been announced as food and farming patron of the Countryside Restoration Trust, helping support the charity's mission to 'conserve the UK countryside'.
The British chef and author said 'The work of the CRT is close to my heart. Sustainable food production needs to go hand in glove with looking after our native wildlife, so being a patron is a perfect platform for me champion this idea, and to raise awareness of the role of wildlife-friendly farming'.
