Elle Nash is an American writer and novelist who released her debut novel Animals Eat Each Other this year - a coming of age story about a 19 year old girl’s polygamous relationship.

The 32 year old started writing fiction in 2004, finally publishing her first book this year through indie publisher 404 Ink. In 2015 her passion for writing led her to set up her own literary magazine and publishing imprint, Witch Craft Magazine and Sad Spell Press. Nash studied for two years at author Tom Spanbauer’s Dangerous Writing Workshop in Portland, Oregon, the man credited with teaching Fight Club author Chuck Palahniuk how to write. Her debut is attracting quite a buzz in the UK, with the i newpaper including it in its list of the 30 best new debut novels to read in 2019, calling it a ‘provocative coming-of-age story’, and it's also been included in The Guardian’s Not The Booker Prize longlist, whilst receiving glowing reviews from Oprah.com, Publishers Weekly and Popsugar. This month Nash attends the Edinburgh International Book Festival, the world's largest literary festival, along with established talent including Eddie Izzard, Prue Leith and Malorie Blackman.
