Max Fincham, recognised for his breakout performance in BBC drama Dark Money, started his acting career at Stagecoach Performing Arts Harpenden, following in the footsteps of his father who appeared as a stuntman in films including Mercenary Fighters.
Starring opposite Jill Halfpenny and Babou Ceesay, who play his on-screen parents, the Wheathampstead native plays Isaac Mensah, a 13 year old whose dream of becoming a Hollywood star soon turns into a sordid nightmare after he becomes a victim of sexual abuse on a film set. Prior to his debut BBC performance, described as ‘immensely impressive’ by The Telegraph, the young actor appeared alongside Beverley Knight in the West End production of The Bodyguard, starred in feature film Pokémon Detective Pikachu, and voiced the lead character in Entertainment One's animated series Ricky Zoom.
