Rising Stars: Honor Swinton Byrne

20 06 2019

Honor Swinton Byrne, 21, made her first major feature film debut to rave reviews at this year's Sundance Film Festival, earning praise from The Hollywood Reporter for her 'remarkably layered' performance in Joanna Hogg's The Souvenir, in which she plays a young film student in the 1980s who becomes romantically involved with an untrustworthy man.

The daughter of actress Tilda Swinton and playwright John Byrne, the rising star has managed to avoid the limelight until now, having been raised in the Scottish Highlands with her twin brother, Xavier, however she's now keen to make a name for herself in her own right. Produced by Martin Scorsese, The Souvenir hits cinemas August 30, and Swinton Byrne is already hard at work filming the sequel, returning to star alongside her famous mother.
