Rising Stars: Hannah Shergold

19 06 2019

Hannah Shergold, a former Army helicopter pilot turned full-time artist, began fully dedicating herself to her craft in 2018, making a name for herself as an artist with her bronze wildlife sculptures, showcasing and selling them after graduating from Cambridge in 2006.

Following her departure from the army last year, Shergold ambitiously booked a space at London’s Pall Mall gallery and successfully held her first solo exhibition, while simultaneously being chosen to work as the Invictus Games’s Team UK artist, painting portraits of Prince Harry and David Beckham and Invictus Games participants to raise more than £50k for the charity. Recently, Shergold took part in the 2019 Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year competition and in June presented another London solo exhibition, this time in aid of wildlife charity Born Free.
