Sky Brown, a ten year old British skateboarding prodigy, has taken the sport by storm and is on course to becoming the UK's youngest summer Olympian.
Born in Miyazaki, Japan, to a British father and Japanese mother, the talented youngster, who also surfs and dances, spends much of the year in the US and first came to public attention as Nike's youngest signing, with giant posters of the skater appearing in stores across the US in 2016. The four foot tall athlete, who won Dancing with the Stars: Juniors in December, is now seeking to qualify for Tokyo 2020 as a member of Team GB. As well as her impressive sporting achievements, Brown has used her profile to aid philanthropic causes, and following a visit to Cambodia collaborated with a skate board manufacturer and charity partner to design a skateboard, with all profits going to fund skate schools for underprivileged kids (her board has raised £13k so far).
