Roddy Ricch, a 20 year old rapper who began making music in his room in Compton, California, at the age of 16, has combined the rich rap heritage of Los Angeles with his Louisiana roots and the melodic elements of hip-hop’s new generation of trap and drill artists, to become one of America’s most talked about musicians.
His 2018 breakthrough single Die Young, produced by Drake collaborator London On Da Track, became a global hit and led to him securing a spot as the support act for Post Malone on his European tour. While in London with Post Malone in March 2019, Ricch scheduled a gig at the Electric Brixton, which sold out before he was able to announce it on social media, and also collaborated with British artists Chip and Yxng Bane on a single How It Is. He'll next support Kodak Black on his 2019 North American tour, before returning to the UK for Reading and Leeds Festival.
