Vegan charity Veganuary has unveiled its campaign plans for 2019, calling on Parliament to get behind celebrity ambassadors, including TV and radio presenter Sarah-Jane Crawford and actors Evanna Lynch and Peter Egan, to 'ditch meat and dairy' in January, in order to combat climate change, improve their health and reduce suffering of animals.
Rich Hardy, Head of Campaigns at Veganuary, commented 'Trying vegan for January by switching to tasty plant-based alternatives in the cafeterias of Parliament would be a simple step to take for our leaders to lead by example, and show they’re serious about tackling climate change'.
