Lucy Cohen, a British film director, won praise from mental health campaigners for her portrayal of suicide following the release of her touching documentary Kingdom of Us, on Netflix earlier this year.

Her debut feature offered an intimate portrait of a family struggling to come to terms with their father's suicide, earning Cohen a BAFTA nomination for outstanding debut by a British writer, director or producer in early 2018. Having previously directed documentaries for television, Cohen's now looking to take a step in a new direction with her first fiction film.
