Monica Lewinsky has enlisted stars including Alan Cumming, Lena Dunham, Kelly Ripa, Olivia Munn, and Sarah Silverman to help launch the #DefyTheName campaign, in honour of 2018's National Bullying Prevention Month, aiming 'to show those experiencing bullying that they're not alone'.

Through the campaign, the personalities have changed their online names to reflect the 'hurtful names they were called as young people', and Lewinsky commented 'From personal experience I know that one of the most insidious effects of bullying is the feeling of isolation... It's feeling alone and suffering in silence that breaks down confidence, degrades self-worth and leads to even worse consequences'.
