Games of Thrones star Lena Headey has joined forces with Alzheimer's Research UK, lending her voice to the charity's Make Breakthroughs Possible campaign.
The short black and white film, narrated by Headey, features a baby lost at sea accompanied by the words 'We come into this world with a single instinct, survive. And it never leaves us. No one has survived Alzheimer’s. But it’s a disease. And that means it can be cured'. The charity took to social media to share the campaign, posting 'Medical research has already made amazing progress in other diseases, like cancer and HIV/AIDS. With you by our side, we can do the same for people living with dementia. We can #MakeBreakthroughsPossible'.
