Star Wars director JJ Abrams is launching a new indie record label, Loud Robot, through his Bad Robot production company, in partnership with Capitol Music Group.

The label will act independently of Bad Robot, although it's been confirmed the production company will have permission to place original music from the label in its film, TV and games projects. Further information on the label's roster is to be announced.
