Ray Winstone has lent his support to Essex & Herts Air Ambulance, filming a series of promotional videos to raise funds for the charity throughout the year.

The Sweeney star commented 'It’s a pleasure to volunteer with Essex & Herts Air Ambulance, they always make me feel welcome with a bacon sandwich on arrival!... This Charity needs over £6m a year, unbelievable - I don’t think many people realise they don’t receive central government funding'.
