Stephanie Phair, chief strategy officer at luxury online marketplace Farfetch, has been announced as the new chair of the British Fashion Council, succeeding Net-a-Porter founder Dame Natalie Massenet, who stepped down in December 2017 after five years in the role.

The appointment will be formalised July 5, with an initial three year commitment, and Phair commented 'There’s something exciting about taking on a role that has challenges in a changing industry, and not wanting to shy away from that'.
