Kara Marni, 20, has always loved music, spending her teen years listening to classic soul artists and setting up a recording space in her back garden.

The singer/songwriter later studied at The BRIT School, where she was scouted by music producer Sebastian Kole, with whom she worked on her 2017 debut single Golden, before dropping her EP Love Just Ain’t Enough. Fresh from touring with Ray BLK and Rita Ora, and securing a modelling contract with Select Model Management, Marni has been tipped by former classmate RAYE as one to watch in 2018, and will next be seen performing at BBC Music Introducing on June 7.
