Dating app Bumble is launching The Female Film Force initiative, inspired by the need for fairer representation of female filmmakers in the industry, and is offering female filmmakers a £20k grant to make short films which 'embody Bumble's values of female empowerment, equality and kindness'.

Radio DJ Edith Bowman, and actresses Ophelia Lovibond and Georgina Campbell, are among the industry experts judging the submissions, and Bowman commented 'We need parity across the industry. We need to see more stories by women, about women and told by women'.
