Ella Mai, 23, was discovered by DJ Mustard after posting covers of her favourite artists including Chris Brown and Aaliyah on Instagram, following a brief stint on The X Factor.

The south West Londoner has since released three EPs under Mustard’s label, 10 Summers Records, was tapped by Kehlani as an opener for her world tour and has collaborated with Ty Dolla $ign, Chris Brown and Chip. Mai, now living in California, recently released a socially charged video for her single Naked, which has gained critical acclaim from Refinery29, The FADER and Billboard, and is now preparing to release her debut album.
