With three novels already under her belt, Texas based novelist Jennifer Mathieu is now attracting the attention of UK readers with her latest offering, Moxie, out this month.
Aimed at young adults, the novel follows the story of the daughter of a 1990s riot girl, Viv Carter, who starts a 'girl revolution' at her high school when she creates a feminist magazine called Moxie. Having received praise from novelist Jennifer Niven, who said 'Vivian Carter and Moxie are strong and smart and so, so inspiring', and Amy Poehler, who called it 'sweet, funny and fierce', Mathieu’s book was also featured by beauty and lifestyle vlogger Zoella’s book club.
