This Morning presenter Eamonn Holmes has been announced as ambassador for Northern Ireland Hospice and Northern Ireland Children's Hospice.

Holmes visited the hospice and met with patients and staff last week, and commented 'It is a great honour to be invited to become an ambassador of Northern Ireland Hospice, a wonderful organisation providing palliative care at the hospice and in the Northern Ireland community. Northern Ireland Hospice is part of the fabric of north Belfast where I grew up. It was always there, always helping people, and local people had a great appreciation of the hospice's work and have always been there to support it'.
