At 26, English-French actor Finnegan Oldfield has starred in an impressive list of films, appearing on the big screen over 30 times since 2003.

While the Sussex born actor has already made a name for himself in France, where he lives and has carved a career for himself in the country's film industry, it's his performance in Venice Film Festival favourite Reinventing Marvin that promises to bring him to an international audience. Starring alongside French cinema icon Isabelle Huppert, Oldfield has won praise for his portrayal of the film's lead Marvin, a young gay man who escapes his dead-end rural French hometown to connect with his sexuality in Paris. The drama is loosely adapted from literary sensation Edouard Louis's autobiography, The End of Eddy, and reviewers have praised Oldfield for his 'riveting' performance.
