Sir Sir Lenny Henry has teamed up with Birmingham City University to offer A-Level students places through clearing, joining staff on the clearing hotline at the City Centre Campus.

Students wishing to enrol on a course will be greeted on the phones by the Birmingham born comedian, who will advise them on availability and entry requirements. Henry commented 'Starting Higher Education had a transformative impact on me, and for many students clearing will be the first steps they take on that journey. Securing a place at University was a proud moment and eventually led me to become Chancellor here, and that is why I’ll take so much pleasure from being able to offer others the same opportunity'.
