In an attempt to connect people internationally through African lifestyle and culture, former party promoter turned recording artist, Mr Eazi, moved to west London at the beginning of 2017, after living between Nigeria and Ghana.

The success of his singles including Legover, Skin Tight and Short Skirt have helped popularise Afrobeats in the UK, leading the Nigerian-born pop star to be announced as Apple Music’s ‘Up Next’ artist in July 2017, and become the only independent Afrobeats artist to be featured in the campaign thus far. Eazi’s ability to combine the energy of Nigerian, Lagos-centric production with an influence of the ‘chilled out vibe’ of Ghanaian life has also contributed to publications such as Vogue saying that he’s ‘putting West African style on the map’. This September, Eazi is set to bring his immersive Life Is Eazi Culture Fest to Camden’s Roundhouse, in which he has curated art, dance, fashion and music showcases in an attempt to ‘draw back the curtain on the lifestyle and culture which brought forth Afrobeats’.
