Curvy curly-haired model Diana Veras may be a newcomer to the fashion scene, but she is already making a lot of noise with her body-positivity message.

First spotted by a casting agent for Chloƫ Sevigny's Opening Ceremony show in 2014, the 21 year old caught the attention of photographer Petra Collins who decided to photograph her for Rookie magazine. Soon after, Veras was signed to Jag Models, and since then has landed numerous campaigns with brands including Mass appeal, Calvin Klein, as well as two Aerie billboards in Times Square where she's seen dancing around in her underwear. But the Dominica-born beauty is more than just another model; a body positive pioneer and campaigner for racial diversity, she uses her ever growing social media standing to open up new conversations about the industry and canons of beauty, and does not hesitate to respond to body-shamers with a series of bikini photos on her 280,000 strong Instagram account.
