Julie Israel's debut novel, young adult book Juniper Lemon's Happiness Index, is set for release with Penguin Random House on July 13.

It's a witty, intelligent, heartfelt book that's perfect for fans of Rainbow Rowell, John Green and Jennifer Niven, following Juniper as she deals with the death of her sister Camilla and the secrets her sister left behind. Israel is based in her native Portland, Oregon, where she's also an artist and linguist. Writer Rachael Allen described the book as 'a beautifully woven story of grief and friendship and secrets', while Booklist called it 'genuine and satisfying'.
