Celebrities including Will Poulter, Beverley Knight, Dame Imelda Staunton, Sir Sir Ben Kingsley, Ben Cohen and Nadine Coyle have teamed up with The Diana Award and The Vodafone Foundation to support #StandUpToBullying day today (June 21).
People are encouraged to share an image or video of themselves on social media 'taking a stand, or raising a hand' as a sign of unity against bullying using the hashtag #StandUpToBullying. Poulter commented 'Bullying was something that affected me greatly as a child, I’m proud to support this national Stand Up To Bullying Day. This day is about sending a clear and loud message that bullying is not a normal part of growing up and that is has no place in our society'.
