Rising Stars: Nahuel Pérez Biscayart

14 06 2017

Despite missing out on a prize at Cannes, Argentinian born Nahuel Pérez Biscayart undoubtedly pulled off one of the most talked about performances at this year's film festival.

The newcomer had critics in tears playing a fiery, brash and fragile activist whose battle with AIDS slowly catches up with him in Robin Campillo's acclaimed 120 Beats Per Minute. Variety praised the 31 year old for playing lead character Sean with 'breath-taking conviction and clarity' and the film - based on the true story of the ACT UP AIDs advocacy movement in Paris during the early 1990s - looks set to be a hit with critics in the UK when its released in October 2017.
