US singer/songwriter Katy Perry has been announced as the first judge to join the new reboot of American Idol on ABC.
The Dark Horse hitmaker, set to release her fifth album Witness next month, posted on Instagram 'SO thrilled @ABCNetwork is bringing back @AmericanIdol, and I'm bringing it back to the MUSIC'.
