Dexter Navy's career as a filmmaker and photographer took off during a trip to Los Angeles, where he slept on a friend’s sofa by night and photographed street culture by day, meeting local hip-hop artists including rapper, and Kanye West's protégé, Travis Scott.

When he returned to England, the west Londoner got together with A$AP Rocky, and the resulting project, a music video for his tune L$D, shot in Japan, earned him a Grammy nomination, as well as 50 million views on YouTube and an admiring tweet from Kanye West. Since then, Navy has collaborated with artists M.I.A and Theophilous London, and fashion brands including Topman. More recently he was enlisted by Kim Jones - artistic director of men's ready to wear at Louis Vuitton - to shoot the Louis Vuitton x Supreme FW17 for the new issue of HERO. His next project will see him directing his debut feature-length film.
